ii) Maintainance of drains, road verges, children playground,
public grounds (including open spaces) and landscaping

v) To compile, co-ordinate and consider all requests for maintenance
assistance.
vi) To monitor the construction and maintenance of Council's

and pedestrian overhead bridges.
vii) Matters related to street lightings, traffic lights and
road sign including regulation of traffics.

iv) To plan and implement Council's community programmes such as Longhouse
Beautification Programme, Residential and Commercial Cleanliness Competition

further developed

Committee
i)
To call for, open, evaluate, accept or reject tenders including
tenders for public works, public health and administration.
ii) To conduct interview on participating/successful tenderer
in accordance with regulations issued by the Ministry
iii) To compile, accept, suspend or drop listed contractors and/or
suppliers from the Council's list. The contractor or supplier
so suspended or dropped from Council's list shall be automatically
disqualified from participating in any Council tender or quotation
until the disqualification is annulled by this Committee.
iv) To consider and comply with all other relevant matters and
factors as quired under the Local Authority Financial Regulation
1997
