Sibu
bags thrid place in State-Level
Shell Traffic Games

Well
Worth the effort... Sibu Team emerged third in the just concluded
State-Level
Shell Traffic Games. Standing at first and second left respectively
are
Anthony Luta and Ahmad Jerry. At third left is SMK Chung Hua
principal
Madam Yew Siu Sien.
The
Sibu team may have just captured third placing, but there
is much cause for celebration.
The
team had not won anything in the last couple of years in the
State-level Shell Traffic Games, and managing to take home
the third prize in Sarikei had made team leader Anthony Luta
a happy man.
Altogether
eight divisions, Kuching, Sibu, Miri, Limbang, Sri Aman, Bintulu,
Sarikei and Kapit took part in the competition.
The
Sibu Division was represented by SK Taman Rejang in the primary
schools category and SMK Chung Hua in the secondary school
category. Sibu Rural District Council was the main sponsor
of the Sibu Team. The council acting secretary En. Ahmad Jerry
bin Hassim was at the competition to give the team moral support.
Infrastructure
Development and Communications Minister Datuk Wong Soon Koh
officiated at the competition, and gave away prizes to the
winning teams.
